Because you know people cry at weddings!

by Stephanie
I was reading a wedding blog post about a woman who bought a ton of vintage handkerchiefs on eBay and then had her save the date info printed on each handkerchief. Now, I don't really like the idea of using them as save the dates, especially since the ones she used were real vintage ones...meaning used, torn, stained etc. I know some people think that is a really neat look, but I just can't get over the fact that it is a *used* handkerchief! However, I thought that maybe I could find some neat NEW handkerchiefs on eBay.

I managed to find some NEW replicas of vintage floral handkerchiefs. They ended up being really cheap, even with shipping! I love the idea of handing one out with the programs before the ceremony. I like that they aren't all the same. I think the mix of colors and patterns will look beautiful.

And if there are extras I figure that I can use them. I am missing a tear duct in my right eye so it doesn't drain as fast as it should, so it is always tearing over. I would love to have pretty handkerchiefs to dab at my eye with instead of a bunch of Kleenex lol.

What do you think? Do you think that is a neat idea?
And they lived happily ever after...

  1. I like them. It will bea lot nicer to hand these out to people than to just past a cardboard box full of Kleenex around the room.

  2. I was just thinking about how awesome it is that your wedding is before mine, so I won't have to buy a handkerchief for my wedding, lol. I'm a dork, I know.
