While reading another bride's wedding blog, I stumbled upon a post about asking the wedding guests to bring their digital cameras and then asking them to upload the photos to an online website like Flickr. This way you get a bunch of pictures that you wouldn't have otherwise.
I thought this was such a neat idea, so we descided that we would also do it. Once it gets closer to the wedding (and we have the final guest list) we will be sending out postcards asking people to bring their cameras. On the back of the postcard there will be a small little envelope the size of a business card and inside will be a business card with the login information for them to sign into our flickr account.
We decided to have Overnight Prints make our post cards and business cards because I have been so short on time lately, and I am not short on DIY projects that need to get done! They are by far the best price I have seen online, and our friends who are getting married in October used them for their save the date post cards and they turned out great. Here are pictures of what the post cards and business cards will look like:

What do you guys think?
And they lived happily ever after...
Have you checked out Vistaprint.com - I've gotten my Christmas cards from them before (the one with Duncan, which we used to send our STD magnet - did I send that to you?), to give you an idea of the quality. It's not fantastic or anything, but I only paid for shipping - like, 7 bucks.
ReplyDeleteSign up for their email list, I get "free" deals every day from them. I've never paid more than a few dollars to get things printed from them, and I've used them for that Christmas card, and I'm using them for our wedding invites.
